'Man Who Would Be King' Replica Jewel

The sterling silver version of the Man Who Would be King Pendant is extremely popular, combining the symbology of the original Gold pendant from the movie with the more modern, striking silver/antiqued black contrast. The choice between silver and gold is always an individual one, and shouldn't be decided on price alone. Silver is a beautiful metal that merits it's own place among decorative metals, and is many people's metal of choice.

The chain included with the silver pendant is a 20" long, 3.5mm "hand-antiqued" Diamond-Cut Curb Chain, also in solid Sterling Silver, made in Italy. It is sturdy enough to sleep in, and shower in, in fact, you really never need to remove it if you do not wish to. Good quality stuff. It's even built using a single non-soldered link which will break away in case of accident without actually damaging the chain. Other chain sizes are available.

The pendant is 1 3/8" wide at the ends of the square, and 1 1/4" tall. A nice piece! A good size! $195.00

The Original Master's Jewel

The Original Mason's Jewel is consciously designed to be minimalistic, yet bold, something possibly seen on a Freemason travelling from Cathedral to Cathedral in the 1700's. Primitive, yet effective composition showing the "All Seeing Eye of God" set in the center of the Square and Compasses. The Compass (above) teaches us to act within our bounds and limits, upon our own inner circle, and represents the spiritual world or world of an ethereal nature. . The Square teaches us to deal uprightly with others and represents the physical world of being, the reality we see every day. The blending of the two in perfect balance and harmony results in the blazing glory of God, and is the continued quest of the contemplative Mason.

The Sun - Sterling Silver

The ancient symbol of God, the Sun is the light, our source of heat, our one true rejuvenating force. Masculine in nature, it carries the soul and spirit higher, purifying and elevating in love and light, reducing us to our essence of humanity, giving us yet another day of glorious life and heat.

The Egyptian Pharoah Akhenaten spoke highly of the Sun as his one God. Or more accurately, he perceived the sun as a representation of all that is good and alive in our world, a symbol of life, knowledge and energy.

The Sun is quite simply the most powerful force known to man.

Each piece is accompanied by an 18" "Wheat Rope" chain, a genuine velvet gift box and a small descriptive pamphlet. $95.00

The Moon - Sterling Silver

The Light in the Darkness.
The counterpoint to the blazing sun, the polar opposite, the balancing force to human sexual energy.
She is the light in the darkness, the receptive Moon, the symbol of the feminine, she cycles to her point of origin, born anew.
The stars in the pendant are the sacred three, the number of balance, the great trinity of wisdom, strength and beauty shepherding the moon as her ever present companions of the night sky.
Each piece is accompanied by an 18" "Wheat Rope" chain, a genuine velvet gift box and a small descriptive pamphlet. $95.00

The Five Elements - Silver

Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood. These are the Five Elements of Taoist philosophy, showing the five aspects of our natural existence, and the importance of a delicate balance. Also very useful in Chinese medicine, the elements are on the pendant in a clockwise order. It's called the "engendering" or "creation" cycle when you follow them in this order, one encouraging the other's qualities.
It's called the "control" cycle when you follow them across from each other - that's what makes the star shape: fire controls metal, metal controls wood, wood controls earth, earth controls water, water controls fire, to restore balance when one element dominates the others.
The pendant has been created to evoke an ancient Chinese coin, with more weight to it than many other Alythea pieces.

Each piece is accompanied by an 18" "Wheat Rope" chain, a genuine velvet gift box and a small descriptive pamphlet. $140.00

The Phoenix

a.k.a. "The Bennu".

Known as a popular symbol of Resurrection, the Phoenix is embraced by those who have been purified in the fire of life, scorched to mere ashes, and yet, born anew, they rise to pursue life with a renewed vigor and fresh perspective. They now carry the knowledge in their heart of their true nature, and an appreciation for the finer qualities in life.

The 5000 year old Egyptian heiroglyph used in our pendant is known as "Bennu", and is the forerunner of the Greek myth of the Phoenix. In Greek literature, Herodotus tells of a bird who, every 500 years, senses its own impending death, and builds a funeral pyre of scented herbs. Sitting upon the pyre, the Phoenix sings the sweetest five note song imaginable, whereby the Sun rises, its rays ignite the pyre, and the bird is engulfed in flames and reduced to ashes. Out of the ashes comes a baby bird that gathers the previous remains in a ball of sweet smelling myhrr and flies to Heliopolis to bury the ashes of the last incarnation in the temple.

When you've gone through changes as dramatic as the Bennu, and have rebuild upon the ashes of a burnout situation, the phoenix is a totem of hope and achievement.

Each piece is accompanied by an 18" "Wheat Rope" chain, a genuine velvet presentation gift box and a small descriptive pamphlet

The Ichthus

The potent and established symbol of Christianity

The fish symbol was embraced by the Early Christians as a symbol of fidelity to the Christian faith. Christ was known to describe his disciples as Fishers of Men and many of his followers were indeed fishermen by trade.

Eventually, the Greek word Ichthus which denotes fish or fertility was re-purposed as an early acronym: "Lesous Christos Theou Uios Soter," or "Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Saviour."

The legend has it that upon meeting a stranger, early Christians used to swipe one arc of the Ichthus in the sand. If that stranger was also a follower of Christ, they would complete the diagram, thereby signifying that they could be trusted, and it was safe to speak of more spiritual issues.

"We, little fishes, after the image of our Ichthys, Jesus Christ, are born in the water." - Tertullian, second century theologian

The Seed of Life

Sacred Geometry at its finest. Sacred geometry is the study of symbology in mathematical form and construction. It is an endeavour towards knowledge and understanding of the basic rules of our universe.

The Seed of Life is a classic geometrical figure simply constructed and understood. It dates from all ages and is even found inscribed at the Temple of Osiris at Abydos, Egypt, as well as other temple structures around the world.

The sacred geometry in the pendant is a potent symbol of each individual aspect of creation and how they all spring from one single source - plainly showing the relative interconnectedness of all things, multiplying, just as a cell "divides", when reproducing. We all share this bond.

Each piece is accompanied by an 18" Wheat Rope chain, a genuine velvet gift box and a small descriptive pamphlet.
